PSSA : The Artist’s Garden - ‘Women make Sculpture’
Discovering Women Sculptors – Autumn, series five - Wednesday 29 November 2023
Claire Mander presented the Artist’s Garden, an open-air site dedicated to the work of contemporary women sculptors making innovative work for the public. She outlined the project’s aim of creating a ‘garden’ as a context for exploration, nurturing and experimentation.
She introduced a selection of eminent works from the project, including those by Holly Hendry, Heywood & Condie and Lakwena as well as from theCOLAB/Yorkshire Sculpture Park/Royal College of Art Sculpture Graduate Award winners, and the Women’s Work commissions.
